PATIENT PATHWAY

Benoît's pathway — L5-S1 disc prosthesis

Benoît had been waiting for months in Quebec when he discovered Franchir. His case — an L5-S1 disc herniation with severe root compression — warranted intervention. He chose a disc prosthesis, a technique rarely offered privately in Canada at this level. Six weeks after first contact, he was operated in France. He has since returned to an active life.

  • First contact to surgery: 6 weeks
  • L5-S1 disc prosthesis — rarely offered privately in Canada
  • Post-op follow-up in Quebec by Neurothérapie MTL
  • Return to active life without chronic pain
